FAQs
What to expect
If you reach out, we will arrange a 15-20 minute phone discussion during which I'll ask you a few questions so I can understand your situation and what you're looking for. I'll also describe how I work. You may have questions for me, and may want to tell me what you're looking for from therapy and a therapist. From this discussion we will come up with a plan how to proceed. If you feel you'd like to try out working together, we will set up a regular appointment time, discuss payment and other logistics.
Insurance
I am not In-Network with any insurance companies. Your insurance may still cover a lot of the costs and I can assist you with the process of submitting bills and claims to your insurance.
In order to determine your insurance out-of-network mental health benefits, I recommend calling and asking:
-
whether you need prior approval or a referral
-
what is your deductible
-
at what rate (%) your insurance reimburses you, after you have met your deductible. Often insurance plans will cover 70-80% of session costs. Alternately, ask what your co-insurance is (the percent of each session you’re responsible after the deductible has been met)
-
whether they reimburse for the reasonable and customary amount
-
is there a session limit, or alternatively an out-of-pocket maximum, after which they cover the whole session fee.
Cancellation Policy
When you cancel or reschedule an appointment I appreciate as much notice as possible so I can offer the session time to someone else. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice are charged in full.
Payment
I accept check, cash or Zelle at time of service. You may be able to use your FSA/HSA benefit to pay for your sessions.
If you feel I may be a good fit please reach out! I look forward to hearing from you
